EP President Schulz: EU Must Help Ukraine Conduct Reforms and Stabilize Economy

It is necessary to help Ukraine stabilize its economy, ensure the country's energy independence, and complete outstanding reforms it needs the most - judicial and anti-corruption.

This was announced on Thursday by European Parliament President Martin Schulz during his speech in front of the heads of states and governments of the EU, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

He stressed that the EU should monitor successful implementation of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine, which is to take effect in January. Visa liberalization for Ukraine and Georgia should also be a priority, while an approving decision by the European Commission is expected in the coming days, Schultz said, urging member states to support this decision.
