Azarenka off to a good start in China

Belarus' number one Victoria Azarenka made a good start at the Wuhan Open in China.

In the opener the Belarusian 23rd seed beat World No.74 Lauren Davis of the United States in two sets 6-2, 7-6 (7-4). Victoria Azarenka will next take on UK's 66th seed Johanna Konta.

Belarus' Alexandra Sasnovich who reached the Korea Open final in Seoul last week, which took her from the 136th to 102nd position in the WTA ranking, will make her appearance in the Tashkent Open 2015. The Belarusian will open the tournament against Slovenia's Polona Hercog (World No.63).

The tournaments in Wuhan and Tashkent will finish on 3 October.
