Paval Sevyarynets Told How He Hit Jackpot

The co-chairman of the organizing committee of the BCD received six subpoenas from the courts and district departments at once one day.

The co-chairman of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party Paval Sevyarynets received six subpoenas from the courts and district departments of Minsk by mail within one day.

According to the press-service of BCD, two of them relate to the action “National Flag Avenue” held on September 19, and the rest four relate to the action of solidarity with Eduard Palchys, which was held in front of the Minsk city court on October 14-25.

These “Chain letters” cover as much as three districts of Minsk – Savetski, Frunzenski and Tsentralny.

This happens for the first time in my vast experience, – Paval Sevyarynets tells. – I went through approximately 70 administrative courts for participation in protests (the way, I received an acquittal only once – in Polatsk District Court in 2006). But to receive 6 subpoenas within one day – it’s already some kind of a jackpot. Who was talking about liberalization? I invite you to come to the court conveyor belt for the participants of solidarity actions – this show perfectly clears the brains of those who believe that there have been any “democratic changes” within the last years.
