The PM claims his family remains in a budget in the conditions of the crisis. However, is this really true?

– In our family, we have always been rather modest when it came to consuming, both in the fat years and in the lean years. We have no frills with respect to food, or clothes, let alone luxuries. This is neither cultivated not accepted in our family. Of course we do not save on food, but we are not ritzy either. We are not so different compared to others from the angle of consuming, – Prime Minister Andrei Kabiakou has told to “Mir” TV-Channel.

It should be mentioned that these words totally comply with the course the PM has taken in the conditions of the crisis. A year ago, speaking about the project of the budget for 2016, he said it had been formed basing on the requirements of the “overall austerity”, Solidarity writes.

Nevertheless, there are several facts preventing one from sharing Andrei Kabiakou’s confidence that the life of his family significantly differs from other Belarusians’ lives.

It will just suffice to mention the cottage in Dradzy, the value of which is assessed as $ 1 million.

To build it, Andrei Kabiakou took a loan in foreign currency for $ 120 K against security of the house.

As for clothes and accessories, in 2009 Andre Kabiakou said: “I had my suit sewn in an atelier across the street… The watch is not “Luch”, sadly… Footwear – I don’t really remember…”

Let’s talk about the family. PM’s daughter Vera works in the “BPS-Bank”. According to her pictures in the social networks, she managed to visit Poland, Spain and Bulgaria already this year. On the other hand, the PM’s daughter could be financially independent for a long time by now.

PM’s son Heorhi entered the faculty of radio-physics and computer technologies in the Belarusian State University this year. He also took a vacation in Barcelona. It seems logical to suppose his parents helped him financially.

Assuming that this is all, we can say that Andrei Kabiakou really cannot compete with the oligarchs. Moreover, it can be assumed that in a developed Western country his family would be attributed to the middle class.

The problem is that, due to the efforts also of the current Prime Minister, in remains a pipe dream for most Belarusians to have their own cottage or to send the children abroad for a vacation. Moreover, unlike the official, they have to save on food.

Over the last few years that Andrei Kabiakou has worked at various positions in the government, his welfare has increased considerably, but the welfare of Belarusians decreased markedly. This is the main result of his work, which will not allow the society to consider the life of the Premier’s family as a modest one.
