The Minister of Energy has also informed that the negotiations on shipment of the Russian oil and gas will take place later this week.

Belarus has submitted its offers on settling the oil and gas-related issues to Russia. Minister of Energy of Belarus Uladzimir Patupchyk has informed this to the journalists in Minsk, TASS reports.

The Minister has noted that the parties are close to solving the issue of shipment of the Russian oil and gas, the negotiations on this issue will take place later this week.

"We have come close to solving the issue of shipment of the Russian oil and gas to Belarus. The negotiations on this issue will be resumed by the parties this week,” - he has added.

On November 29, the Russian Federation’s Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov informed that Russia and Belarus would endeavor to settle the disputes on the shipment of gas and oil until mid-December. According to him, the schedule of deliveries of oil for the first quarter will be ready on December 15.

Back in October it was reported that Belarus and Russia reached a compromise in the removal of problems in the oil and gas sector.

The parties agreed on an inter-budgetary compensation in the supply of gas to Belarus that will allow to ensure equal conditions for the price of gas to power producers by to July 1, 2019, and by January 1, 2025 - for the other consumers of oil and gas.

Earlier Patupchyk declared that Belarus would transfer the underpaid money for the Russian gas on October 21. The amount of the underpayment was estimated as $ 281 million. Russia promised to restore the oil supplies, which were reduced in July by more than a third in response to the underpayment for the gas.

At the same time, in the end of October, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that no money for gas from the Belarusian authorities had been reported.

Yesterday, the Russian side gave the Belarusian authorities one day to develop the offers to solve the oil and gas dispute.
