"Belarusian Roulette"

Today, a presentation of Andrei Sannikov’s new book and discussion on Belarus will be held in Warsaw.

The Polish publishing house KARTA, Belsat TV channel and the Polish Theatre in Warsaw invite to take part in a debate: "Whither Belarus? – The 25th anniversary of the Soviet Union collapse and the 20th anniversary of the events, which gave rise to Charter'97 creation."

The starting point for the discussion will be of Andrei Sannikov’s book "Belarusian Amerikanka or Elections Under Dictatorship," which has been translated into Polish and published by the KARTA publishing house. The Polish version of the book is called "Belarusian Roulette".

The discussion will be attended by the leader of the European Belarus civil campaign Andrei Sannikov, the first leader of independent Belarus Stanislau Shushkevich, diplomat, former chargé d'affaires of Poland to Belarus Witold Yurash, editor in chief of the Rzeczpospolita newspaper Bohuslav Hrabota, KARTA publishing house head Zbigniew Gluza. Director of Belsat Agnieszka Romashevskaya will be the moderator.

The event will also be attended by director of the Polish Theatre Andrzej Seweryn, and there will be a concert of Belarusian musician Pavel Arakelian.

The discussion will be held at the Chamber Stage of the Polish Theatre in Warsaw (2 Karasia Street, Severinov street entrance) on December 12 (Monday), at 18.00.
