Belarusian Businessmen’s Children Choose London

61

Major Belarusian businessmen send their children to study and live in the EU.

The KGB Chairman stated that the founders of JSC Consul were spending the illegally earned money on the maintenance of their children in the UK.

– One of the owners of JSC Consul was spending 100 thousand pounds sterling monthly on his son who is living in England now. Even parents think, that (quotation) "this is a bit too much." According to the accounts that we have confiscated, a total amount of 1.5 million pounds sterling was spent to maintain his son during the last year and a half. The son of other founder is also studying in England and his maintenance also cost his parents £ 1.5 million during the last 1.5 years. Two daughters of the company founders are also studying at the same place, – Valery Vakulchyk said.

JSC Consul was founded by the brothers Gilman: Mikhail and Leanid; and also by Viktar Raukou.

As Salidarnasts has learnt, the representatives of the Gilman family really live in London. The most famous of them is Pavel Gilman. He grew up in Brest, received business education in England, and founded several companies, including a real estate brokerage agency Ready Flats, focused on the Russian-speaking population of London.

His sister Lisa Gilman was also educated in England. Now she has a blog, where she shares her vision of healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition and sport. She also has her channel on Youtube, where among other things she talks about travel.

Son of another founder of JSC Consul Andrei Gilman also lives in London. His activity status was not possible to reveal.

His sister Lyubov Gilman studies at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Guildhall School of Music and Drama), which is the famous London institution of higher education.

Their youngest brother David Gilman is studying in a private boarding school Katerhem (Caterham School), near London.

Naturally, the founders of JSC Consul are not the only Belarusian businessmen, who have sent their children to study in England. For example, their townsman from Brest Aliaksandr Mashenski, the founder of such enterprises as Santa Bremor and Savushkin Product, sent his daughter to the UK.

Yana Mashenskaya has graduated from Brighton College and is now studying at the London School of Economics, a division of the University of London. This school, by the way, is behind half a dozen future Nobel laureates.

UK Study Centre web site, which specializes in education in the UK, says: “After a year of study in an international training center Yana (Mashenskaya) entered Brighton College – one of the strongest schools of England. The mathematical mindset availed Yana a lot, but first and foremost, a key role was played by her incredible ambitiousness and sense of purpose ... Yana graduated from Brighton College with brilliant results and entered the Faculty of Economics of the London School of Economics, where the enrolment competition is 15 people per place. Yana’s A-Levels and IELTS results were so high that Brighton College awarded her an honorary decoration. Yana got an A grade in Higher Mathematics, an A in Mathematics and an A in Economy. According to the IELTS results, Yana hit the top 2% in the world, having received 8.5 points out of 9 possible.”

In London Yana Mashenskaya is friends with sisters Gilman.

This is not surprising, since the major Belarusian businessmen have quite friendly relations. For example, Aliaksandr Mashenski was at Yury Chyzh’s eldest son Siarhei’s wedding.
