British Trout Carried From Belarus To Russian Federation Under Guise Of Compote

Rosselkhoznadzor ordered to destroy a consignment of fish from Belarus.

Officers of the agency arrested the consignment at the checkpoint Lobok of Nevelsk District of Pskov region on the Russian-Belarusian border, agronews.by reports.

A consignment note (CMR), according to which canned fruit in the amount of 5,250 articles of gross weight of 20,060 kilograms were carried to Moscow, was attached to the goods. However, Veterinary Service specialists found frozen trout backs in cardboard boxes of 20 kilograms in the load box.

The marking label on the package indicates the British origin of the goods. The total weight of the fish consignment was 20,514.5 kilograms.

The goods and the refrigerator, carrying them, have been confiscated. The products have to be destroyed, the Rosselkhoznadzor’s press service informs.
