Paval Seviarynets: Regime Fears Mass Rallies In Belarus
PAVAL SEVIARNETS

Moscow granted another credit – and punitive agencies immediately received an order to work out the money.

The co-chairman of the organizing committee for creation of the Belarusian Christian Democratic Party Paval Seviarynets has received by post a copy of the report on the administrative case opened over “organizing an unsanctioned rally on March 25.”

It is the fifth administrative report against Paval Seviarynets this month.

“I do not understand what “liberalization” they are talking about, – Paval Seviarnets said to the press-service of the BCD. – I hadn’t had so many reports, trials and fines over the past two years, as I had in the last two weeks. And the searches and seizures on March 30-31 demonstrate: the regime has passed on to the new tactics of crackdown on public movement. Moscow has extended another credit - and punitive agencies immediately received an order to work out the money. It is obvious that the regime fears mass rallies – and the entire machine of the punitive lawlessness works against those who stage peaceful protests.

Earlier charter97.org reported that for the unpaid fines for participation in rallies of sole traders on October Square in Minsk, bailiffs blocked mobile phone communication for Anatol Liabedzka, leader of the United Civil Party, and threatened by an arrest of his car.
