Foreigners Would Be Able Enter Belarus Without Visas, But Only For Stay In Health Resorts

Visa-free entry to Belarus for foreigners who want to have treatment in health resorts could be introduced in the second quarter of the current year.

It has been said at a press-conference by the director of the Republican Centre for Health Promotion and Health resort Treatment of the Population under the Council of Ministers Henadz Balbatouski as he answered a question of BelTA.

“In cooperation with the Sports and Tourism Ministry we are working on a draft document on introduction of visa-free entry and exit of tourists, including the ones coming to Belarusian health resorts. I hope that the decision is to be adopted in this quarter of the year, – Henadz Balbatouski said. – The list of the countries (from 10 to 20) is being coordinated with all concerned parties. The major criterion is absence of a terrorist threat.”

As said by him, in the present situation Belarusian health resorts are trying to diversify export of services, develop new destinations. A special emphasis has been made on implementing services, forms and methods of treatment, which are in demand among customers (including foreigners).

Almost all health resorts offer about 200 services. For foreigners, the most sought-after are services of first-category health resorts, which have modern material resources and medical facilities.
