Water and Food Cannot Be Given to Leaders of Entrepreneurs in Zhodzina

Activists detained on May 20 at the solidarity event are in the detention centre.

According to Pavel Sevyarynets, co-chairman of the BCD, public activist Ales Makayeu, the BCD's activist Pavel Prakapovich, Homel entrepreneur Mikhail Latysheu and activist of the Young Front Pavel Staravoitau are arrested. No other details are provided, Radio Svaboda reports.

"Yesterday Ales Abramovich was released. He is a disabled person. As soon as he tried to give guys water and food, the police did not accept it and asked to return on Monday. I guess the detainees will be tried on Monday in Zhodzina. Six people will stand their own trial, as well as Ivan Pamaz and Ales Abramovich, who were drawn up protocols against," Pavel Sevyarynets said.

It should be reminded that on May 21 the organizing committee of the Salidarnasts Trade Union organized a solidarity rally with entrepreneurs in Zhodzina. It was devoted to Lukashenka's Decree No. 222. According to witnesses, the action lasted for 40 minutes. Then activists started give people agitation materials. Then activists were detained.

"This is the way Salidarnasts starts in Belarus," the opposition activist believes.
