Police Detained Hooligans Insulting White-Red-White Flag

The provocateurs came to the For Freedom movement picket for collecting signatures in Kalinouski Street in Minsk.

The participants of the picket for collecting signatures for first deputy chairman of the movement For Freedom Yury Hubarevich’s nomination for the “house of representatives deputies,” were attacked in Minsk on July 10.

Hubarevich is nominated on 108 th Kalinouski constituency. The picket for collecting signatures in his support was held under the white-red-white flag in Kalinouski street, BelaPAN reports.

“Two men were having a drink near the store in Kalinouski street next to the place of our rally,” – the initiative group member Aliaksandr Slavinski said. According to him, they came up to them and started to insult the protesters and the national symbols. One of them hit the initiative group member Aliaksandr Rusevich twice.

Slavinski reported that the attackers were young strongly built people, with tattoos.

The picketers called the police, who detained the hooligans and drew up a protocol. An Investigative Committee representative arrived at the scene.
