300 Russian Military Men To Land Near Baranavichy

About 300 Russian miltary men with armored transport vehicles, mortars, remote-piloted vehicles, helicopterts and planes will arrive in August for the joint military exercises.

Assistant of the Commander of Troops of the Central military district Yaraslau Rashchupkin has informed this to Interfax.

"The military men of the Central military district are finishing the preparation to the joint military exercises with the subdivisions of the armed services of the states-members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization “Enduring Brotherhood -2016”, which will take place in August at the Belarusian fire-ground Abuz-Liasnouski near Baranavichy,” – Rashchupkin has said.

According to him, the Russian contingent which will act in the squad of the CSTO collective peace-making forces, counts about 300 soldiers, sergeants and officers.

"They have modernized armoured transport vehicles BTR-82AM, mortars 2B14 “Podnos”, remote-piloted vehicles “Orlan-10” and other machinery in the inventory. The aviation forces will use 4 helicopters Mi-8 “Terminator” and Mi-24, as well as reconnaissance and transport aircraft", - Rashchupkin has noted.

He has added that the joint exercises are appointed on August 23-27.
