Zyuganov: Your MAZ Truck Looks Like A Spaceship

The chief Russian Communist told how to build the relationships between Belarus and the Russian Federation.

“If we haggled less over the price for either gas, oil, meat, or milk, and thought more about complementing each other and establishing more effective cooperation, we could beat any competition, and our products would be on par with European goods in terms of quality and cheaper by one-third, and we would never lose our markets to anyone,” – BelTA quotes Zyuganov’s words at the meeting with Lukashenka in Minsk.

“I have been to all your major enterprises. Your Euro-6 MAZ truck looks like a spaceship. It is one of the best vehicles out there. Your trailers that carry our Topols, which we can no longer manufacture, help us strengthen our defensive capacity. We are solving these tasks together,” – the chairman of the Communist Party said.

Gennady Zyuganov also remarked that Belarus feels like the second homeland for him. “I should say that Minsk is a wonderful city. It is clean, comfortable, cheerful, and bright. It has been developing as an ultra-modern European and global center of culture and true wellbeing. You have done a lot to get rid of officious advertising boards, and preserve the artistic and architectural image of the city, its moral and ethical principles,” – the chairman of the Russian Communist Party said.

Lukashenka, in turn, presented the Order of Friendship of Peoples to Gennady Zyuganov “in recognition of his big personal contribution to the enhancement of friendly ties and cooperation between Belarus and Russia, establishment of the Union State, development of economic, scientific, technical, and cultural ties.”

We remind that the sales of Belarusian MAZ trucks decreased by 23.4% in the Russian market in January-June 2016.
