Polish Expert: A Man With a Cane Maybe a Killer of Sheremet

The man in the video is strange for a simple witness of an explosion in the street.

Video of the explosion, which caused death of Pavel Sheremet, was commented by Andrzej Mroczek, a former head of the operational group on terrorist attacks of the Anti-Terrorism and Criminal Department of Warsaw and now the expert of Terrorism Research Center of the Collegium Civitas University and the City Security.

- What does look strange in this video?

- A man in a hat and with a cane behaves weird. Please note, at the beginning the man takes the same way the car of Sheremet does. He comes up to the crossing and hesitates. The car is still on its way but he stopped. He stands with his back to the street. At the time of the explosion he keeps standing still. Pay attention to his left hand right after the explosion. He looked like doing up something so as not to let it fall out of his pocket.

- Then he takes his arm off the pocket, hides the cane and start running.

- As soon as turns the head and see people running to the car he follows them. And he needs no cane. At first I thought that he was deaf. But it seems that he just got used to explosions.

It runs like a young man and not like a person who needs the cane. Weird behavior. A hat, a cane, but he runs like a young man. The question arises: did that man wait for the police and testify as a witness. It is likely that he ran to the car to check whether everything was done properly. It is possible that he could set off an explosive device remotely.

- It is summer. You can hardly meet someone wearing a hat and especially a black jacket.

- The cane and the hat is a camouflage.

- In the freewheeling 1990s we used to serve in the Warsaw police and fight organized crime. Have you dealt with such crimes in your practice?

- Yes. An actual perpetrator of the crime is usually nearby and watches the scene. He must convince himself that the victim is dead. My experience tells me that this is the very case.
