Aleh Shepel: Athletes Must Work Off Invested Money
ALEH SHEPEL

The official still adheres to the Soviet habit of planning unplanned.

Chairman of the Paralympic Committee of Belarus Aleh Shepel sees value in planning in sports, BelTA informs.

“I think we should always plan everything, and not only in sports. If the state invests, it must claim results. This applies to all the spheres of activity,” – he noted.

Aleh Shepel also told about plans on the further training of the Belarusian Paralympic team.

“The training will be carried out, at the same time, the team will be youthified and rotated, – he said. – We always have about 25-30% of newcomers in each cycle.”

The Chairman of the Paralympic Committee also notes that only the athletes, who can really show good results, should represent Belarus at the Paralympics.

“We are not taking tourists there. I adhere to the rule: the people, who will be competing for the top eight, must go,” – Aleh Shepel said.

He stressed that the main thing for the athletes is to honorably represent Belarus at the international competitions.
