Chyzh Deprived Of Cognac And Wine

The Government has defined the alcohol importers for 2017.

According to the results of the contest, announced at the end of last year, 28 companies will be engaged in the implementation of the exclusive right of the state to import alcoholic beverages in 2017, ej.by informs.

The holding company "Triple" of the "Akvatraipl" company, owned by disgraced oligarch Yury Chyzh, wasn't included in the list for 2017. Last year, the company had the right to import grape wines, sparkling wines and brandy.

Well known distributors ("Garcia"), retailers ("Eurotorg", "Tabak-Invest", "Belvillesden") and manufacturers (Minsk Grape Wines Factory, "Minsk Kristall", "Bulbash") are among the suppliers of imported alcohol and semi-finished products for 2017.

Last year, 29 companies were engaged in this area of the state's interests, in 2015 – 35 companies.

We remind, that the main owner of the holding company "Triple" Yury Chyzh was detained by the KGB on March 11, 2016. 5 more persons got behind the bars in the detention centre of the KGB together with the businessman under suspicion of evasion of taxes and duties on a large scale.

According to Valery Vakulchyk, the head of the KGB, the amount of damages in the criminal case against businessman Yury Chyzh was about $ 12 million. Chyzh was released from the KGB jail on September 14, 2016.
