Given a threat of funding cuts of Belsat TV channel the leader of CCP-BPF sent a letter to the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.

The full letter is as follows:

New Year 2017 is about to come, as well as the 100th anniversary of a disastrous event in the history - the beginning of the Russian communism which along with the German national socialism unleashed a bloody world war and wiped out millions of people.

People in Belarus and Ukraine anxiously follow the mar of time and fear of something horrible to take place again, because Imperial Russia still exists and permanently agonizes and aggressively jeopardizes neighbours and the whole mankind.

We can observe open Russian preparations for war and capture of Belarus. Russian KGB Generals and extremist politicians voice threats to our country and say that an independent Belarus should be squeezed out of existence and become a part of Russia, and there is no Belarusian nation and that the Belarusian language was invented by Russian occupants in 1926 year. Well, an absurd devilish bogeymanization of our nation has followed the scenario of 2013-2014 years (before annexation of the Crimea and Donbass) when Russian propaganda cast aspersions on Ukrainians, denied them as the nation and stated that the Ukrainian language was invented by Habsburg Austria to annoy Moscow.

On the eastern border of Belarus Russia creates new military garrisons, concentrates troops, announces joint military exercises with Lukashenka regime in southern Belarus, and requires 4168 carriages to transfer 32 thousand Russian soldiers. Demonization of Belarusians is well under way. The spate of Russian anti-Belarusian information war is expected in 2017.

Our nation is to face such challenges, as well as anti-national traitorous authoritarian regime under the power of Moscow.

At the same time, Polish authorities have unexpectedly announced plans to abolish the Belarusian democratic Belsat television, which broadcasts in Belarusian from Warsaw and exists due to support of Poland and the EU. Belsat is the only Belarusian television, which broadcasts in Belarusian and provides with unbiased information (other Belarusian television and radio is liquidated by the regime). As soon as Belsat television is abolished, Belarus will be unable to resist an aggressive and biased information flow from Russia.

In this connection the leadership of the conservative Christian Party -Belarusian Popular Front, which has launched resistance to Moscow communism and contributed to independence of Belarus, has addressed the Sejm, the Government and the President of Poland with request to not to hurry with the elimination of Belsat TV channel, and give a possibility to continue broadcasting. We seek a financial support on the part of democratic organizations and individuals in the world to reduce the burden on the Polish budget that relates to financing of Belsat TV.
