The United States Initiates $50 Billion Aid Package For Ukraine

Due to profits from frozen Russian assets.

The United States of America has initiated the allocation of a new package of financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of up to $50 billion. Washington is discussing this initiative with the G7 countries.

Bloomberg reports this.

According to the White House plan, most of the funds will be channeled from profits from frozen Russian assets, the bulk of which are stored in EU countries. The US Treasury Department confirmed to the agency the fact of negotiations regarding a new financial assistance package.

According to Bloomberg sources, the initiative involves sending funds by a coalition of countries, which the United States intends to lead. The American side wants to sign a corresponding agreement in Italy at the G7 summit in June this year. The agency's interlocutors do not rule out that negotiations on this issue may take several months.
