Zelensky Says Who To Be Mobilised, Sent To Front First

The AFU has a request for a certain age.

The Defence Forces of Ukraine need young servicemen, up to 35-40 years old. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with journalist Hugo Travers.

According to him, people who are already over 50 years old, despite their great life and professional experience, are very inferior to the young. And it's not just about physical fitness. It is young people who are in demand from the military commanders.

‘There are certain criteria and priorities for the age and physical condition of fighters who need to be trained and after that they are sent to the front. And the military command has this demand. Showing the specific numbers they need in the Ukrainian army, it is necessary to train brigades that will replace the brigades that have already been on the front for two years,’ Zelensky said.

According to him, young military men differ in that they have better speed of perception of the situation and quicker decision-making process. They are also better at mastering new technologies, which is very important in modern warfare.

‘There is a difference between a 25-year-old warrior and a 50-year-old one. And that's a fact. There are different challenges, different warfare and different technologies in different areas. Younger people are needed today because of more modern warfare,’ the Ukrainian president said.

He noted that a lot of drones that are used on the front today have been made by young people. Young fighters have a better chance to defeat the enemy than warriors of the older generation. The advantage should definitely be used at the front.
