Aliaksandar Milinkevich: The future of Belarus is clear - we’ll be a part of united Europe

19:52, — Politics

Aliaksandar Milinkevich, “For Freedom” movement leader, gave a high esteem to the European March, held on October 14, commenting on the outcome of the action in an interview to the press-service of Charter’97. “It is particularly important that, despite the arrests of democratic activists and other actions of the authorities taken to intimidate the society, people came out to Kalinouski Square (Kastrychnitskaya) to march along the avenue and demonstrate their courage, dignity, civil position and will for freedom,” the politician said.

“Today in Belarus there are many- I would say, the majority - of those who realize that time for changes has come. Most of those who came to the March are young people, which is very good. They want to live in Europe with European values, and it means that the future of Belarus is clear - we’ll be a part of united Europe,” Aliaksandar Milinkevich said.
