10:46, — Politics

The case of “Young Front” leader Zmiter Dashkevich was brought to Shklou District Court. On the other accusation, the activist, already convicted to a year and a half, faces six month of imprisonment.

One day was enough for Shklou District Prosecutor’s office to examine Zmiter Dashkevich’s case, agree with the investigation opinion of his guilt and send the case to Shklou District Court for the consideration.

“15 October the case was sent to Prosecutor’s office, and 16 October – to the court. When will be the trial is unknown. The court itself will decide it”, - investigator Siarhei Lokh said to Radio Svaboda.

It should be reminded that Zmiter Dashkevich was accused of his refusal to evidence on the case of the “Young Front” activists. For that Dashkevich is in danger of the imprisonment for half a year.

According to Zmiter Dashkevich’s lawyer Aliaksandr Halieu, Zmiter doesn’t admit his guilt. Activist thinks he had a right to refuse of evidence as he was accused on the same circumstances and his evidence could be used against him. Besides, the law allows one not to give evidence against oneself.

As it is known, Zmiter Dashkevich had to work physically hard in Shklou colony and got to the hospital. How is Dashkevich now?

Investigator Siarhei Lokh, who saw Dashkevich during the familiarization with the materials of the case, said: “Well. In any case, he didn’t complain”.

It was said in the Shklou court that judge Tatsiana Kashkina will examine the case. The date of the trial is unknown.

It should be reminded that “Young Front” leader Zmiter Dashkevich was convicted to one and half year of imprisonment on accusation of participation in unregistered organization last year. This year several “Young Front” activists were fined and warned on the same accusation.
