Though being pressed, entrepreneurs stopped working all the same

Today the significant part of the entrepreneurs in the shopping centers “Zerkalo”, “Parking” and “Zhdanovichy” stopped their work. The nameboards “closed” appeared in shop windows. Some salesmen explained that their employers ordered them not to work today. Some salesmen and individual entrepreneurs made no secret that they took part in one day strike, because the negotiations with the authorities on the solving the problems of two president decrees have come to the deadlock.

The entrepreneurs admitted that they were pressed by the “Zerkalo” administration that required to continue working, in other case the problems would be possible. The entrepreneurs were said “not to make policy” of trading.

The shopping center “Zerkalo” administration denied the existence of any problems when talking to Charter’97 correspondent. It was declared that in the main “Zerkalo” is working, but “Parking” and “Zhdanovichy” stopped their work. But the brief survey of the “Zerkalo” allowed to conclude, that more than a half of sectors stopped their work. The halls were empty.

It should be reminded that the adoption of the decree № 760 caused the strike. According to it beginning from 1 January 2008 the individual entrepreneurs (IE) can’t hire workers except the family members and close relatives,. The summer mass examination on the markets, groundless fines and arrests of the commodities became the last drop. If the decrees № 760 and 302 aren’t be revised, the issue of organizing a strike of many days and refusal to pay taxes will be discussed.
