Political prisoner Artur Finkevich got in remand jail

A criminal case against youth activist Artur Finkevich is brought up. He will be kept in Mahilou remand jail before the trial. Hanna Rybalka, the lawyer of the political prisoner informed about it. According to the activist who is serving his punishment in open type institution in Mahilou for political graffiti, he was detained this morning.

Artur was guarded to the remand jail because of the results of his medical examination after work. The medical worker allegedly found out he was drunk. Artur himself said Radio Racyja spirit could get in his body because he was ill and was taking motherwort tincture for some days. “But all the same, it can’t show such results of the medical examination”, - Finkevich said.

“He has the forth ban, and criminal responsibility begins with three bans. I can’t name the bans and their lawfulness. We will work on this question. The appointment with Artur is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday. There will be all the case papers, interrogation. Officially, he is detained and will be introduced for arrest to prosecutor. Thus he will be sent to the remand jail where he will be kept till trial”, - the lawyer said to Euroradio.
