Artur Finkevich: new persecution

Today in the Prosecutor’s office of Kastrychnitski district of Mahilou Artur Finkevich, the organization “Young Front” activist can be charged on a new criminal case. It was brought for violation of the regime in special commandant's office.

Artur Finkevich was sentenced to two years of open type institution for his political graffiti - “We’ve had enough!”and “We want a new one!”. When being in Mahilou commandant's office Artur got some bans for minor violations of the regime. Now when it is left 1.5 months before his release, the authorities have brought a criminal case against him. According to it, the “Young Front” activist can get more severe service of sentence – imprisonment.

It is not excluded that the term of Artur Finkevich’s punishment can be prolonged.

Since 29 June 2006 he has been serving his punishment in Mahilou commandant’s office. This December the political prisoner is to be released.

We remind that “Young Front’ leader Zmiter Dashkevich was detained 15 September 2006 and sentenced to 1.5 year of imprisonment for participation in unregistered organization.

14 August 2007 the KGB investigators brought another criminal case against him for the refusal to give evidence against his friends – according to article 402 (refusal to give evidence).
