    EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana welcomes the organizing of the European March in Minsk and declares that the intention of the opposition to build a genuine dialogue with the authorities is an important and constructive step. The EU High Representative considers unacceptable the people to be imprisoned for displaying EU symbols or for expressing their political views. “Concrete co-operation needs to be based on shared values”, - Javier Solana declared in the exclusive interview to Charter’97 press centre.

    The human rights activists Ales Bialiatski, Uladzimir Labkovich and Valiantsin Stefanovich received letters from the Supreme Court, signed by judge S.Yakhnavets. There it was stated that on 26 September the appeal against the refusal of the Ministry of Justice to register the public association Human Rights Center Viasna was considered, but no decision was taken as the document confirming the powers of the applicants was attached. That’s why the applicants were to correct the situation till 5 October.

Uladzislau Tsydzik, chairman of Minsk Region State Control Committee declared it in the interview to Interfax. “I hope that tax inspection in cooperation with law-enforcement agencies will find out a row of questions concerning the owners of comfy cottages. Where from a person has hundreds of thousands dollars? In earlier times the rich dukes were building their castles during the centuries.
