Salihorsk miners gained right for privileges

In the draft law “About the professional pension insurance” a new norm was introduced. Its sense is to preserve the early pensions for the people who work in harmful labour conditions. It can’t be excluded that the draft law will be examined in its changed form on the autumn “parliamentary” session. The new draft law now meets the views of the trade unions.
Those who have worked in harmful labour conditions half or more time, necessary for the receiving pension, the harmful labour conditions pension will be preserved. The decision on altering the draft law was taken in late September in Salihorsk on the meeting of the Production Association “Belaruskaliy” trade union activists. The leader of the National Trade Unions Center Leanid Kozik, the representatives of president’s administration, “parliament”, ministry of labour and social security presented on the meeting, Ekonomicheskaya Gazeta running.
As EG was informed by the Standing Commission on Labor, Social Protection, Affairs of Veterans and Disabled, the supposed norm needs to take a long procedure of approvals in the parliamentary commissions. Whether it will be proposed to the running session will become clear within a month.
It should be reminded that the draft law “About the professional pension insurance” was adopted in the reading on the spring”parliamentary” session this year. According to the document the early retired pensioners that go on working in harmful working conditions can be deprived of pensions unless they reach the general pension age. The law is to come into force from 1 January 2008.
