German Special Forces against Belarusian riot police (Photo)

The glory of the “last dictatorship in Europe” has begun to materialize gradually. Friday evening it was shown on TV how the German commandoes are fighting against angry and corrupted Belarusian riot police.

The series “Special Forces” is the German version of military brotherhood topic. It main heroes are the five soldiers of a special army unit ready to redress justice in any part of the world.

In an episode shown on REN-TV in the evening 9 November the action were taking place in Minsk. Journalist from Hrodna Yanina Lisuk takes German President’s wife, who has come with charity mission, the FRG ambassador and two German Special Forces commandoes hostage. The rest of the crew has flied out to help them, the news-paper «Salidarnasts» running.

With the movement it is clarified, that Lisuk isn’t a terrorist, but a victim of the political regime. A commander of Belarusian riot police captain Sushchanka has killed her husband, who was investigation the unlawful activities of the Belarusian government on arms trade, where the main riot policeman was mixed up in.

Now Sushchanka is hunting the journalist and she decided on taking high-ranking diplomats hostage in order to leave Belarus in such a way. 4 kilograms of explosives on her body are just a hoax explosive device, but it will be known later. And she also has video materials, revealing Sushchanka…

The coming to the rescue Special Forces soldiers demonstrate they know local details. “They still have the KGB, so keep eyes open”, says one commandos to another one.

Meanwhile Lisuk explains the hostages, why she had to do so: “The criminals rule my country. We want to fight with it”. To the remark of the president’s wife: “But we support the opposition”, the woman answers: “You just give money and smiled to the cameras. But do you know what one feels when his or her relatives disappear…”

The climax is the scene at the airdrome where Sushchanka, trying to prevent Lisuk from escape to Germany, engages in battle with the German Special Forces. The command “President’s order!” sounds, - and riot police open fire.

The gun battle was rather short, only the main villain was killed. The Special Forces officers fly to Germany with wounded Lisuk, where her son and mother, who came to Germany illegally some months ago, are waiting for her…

At the time of the USSR, the western commandos were fighting with soviet troops in films. Now the German Special Forces stand against the split of the evil empire represented by the Belarusian regime. It isn’t so funny, as it may seem at the first thought, as it damages the image of the country by ricochet. Special thanks for that to the present leadership of Belarus, who have facilitated the promotion of such stereotypes into the minds of western people.
