The Social March is to begin at the Academy of Sciences at 12 p.m. 4 November, - crisply said Valer Ukhnalou, deputy head of the Party of Communists Belarusian, head of the Social March organizing committee. A rally will move along Surhanau Street to Park of Peoples’ Friendship, where a meeting is to take place. The action organizers are going to go with the social slogans on the permitted by the authorities route.

“The Social March organizing committee has decided that the action participants gather at the Academy of Sciences at 12 p.m. 4 November and go to the meeting to Park of Peoples’ Friendship. We have coordinated our actions with the representatives of the authorities and law enforcement bodies. I hope the action will be peaceful. We ask people to come to the Academy of Sciences and take part in the event.

The objective of the Social March campaign is to solve the problem of state social policy in general. For that purpose the activists who always participate in the actions of the democratic forces are not enough. We will try – and we will do it – to attract the people who feel concern about social guaranties and social privileges. We do not want to endanger people and decided unambiguously: we are moving on the permitted by the authorities route and in the format that was determined after the permission”, - Valer Ukhnalou, deputy head of the Party of Communists Belarusian, head of the Social March organizing committee said to Charter’97 press center.

Trade unions leader Aliaksandr Bukhvostau has supported the head of the Social March organizing committee Valer Ukhnalou.

“We are aiming at attraction the attention of people at large to the social problems, to the fact that the authorities are conducting the unpopular policy and worsen the state of workers. So we had to agree with the route suggested by the City Executive Committee.

We will go under our flags to demonstrate people that the trade union of radio-electronic industry workers is against the social and economic policy leading the Belarusian people to poverty”, - declared Aliaksandr Bukhvostau, leader of the trade union of radio-electronic industry workers.
