Halloween participants sentenced to arrest. They go on hunger strike

Participants of Halloween celebration in Minsk are sentenced to arrests. Tatsyana Lashkarova was the first to get a term. The judge of Savetski district court of Minsk Ludmila Savastyan has sentenced the girl to 5 days of administrative arrest. Tatsyana said that the report of detention was not true. Young people were charged with petty hoolilganism. Their apperance alledgedly was " an outrage against public morality".

The lawyer of the detainee, Svyatlana Harbatok, noted that the facts in the report of detention were not supported by witnesses’ testimony, either by Central department store shop assistants who saw the detention, or by friends of the detained, or even policemen who were arresting the participants, Nasha Niva informs.

Tastyana Lashkarova has also stated that she would file a complaint to the prosecutor’s office.

Judge Axana Ralyava has sentenced Andrei Kim to 7 days of arrest. Andrei Kim has stated that he announces a hunger strike. He has also said that he will lodge a complaint against the judge, as he finds her actions illegal.

Yuras Shalin has been sentenced to 7 days of arrest.
