Entrepreneurs have resolved to protest

The court of Zavadski district of Minsk has sentenced entrepreneurs Ales Talstyka and Ruslan Lutsenka to 7 and 10 days of arrest respectively. The entrepreneurs have been convicted for dissemination of leaflets with information on the rally which is to take place on October 10 on Kastrychnitskaya (October) Square in Minsk.

As the Charter’97 press-center has been informed by an opposition activist Vyachaslau Siuchyk, the trial over entrepreneurs was held behind the closed doors. Oppositional politicians and human rights activists were not allowed to attend the court. Entrepreneurs were charged with violation of the article “violation of rules of mass events organizing”. Judge Alena Nyakrasava passed the judgment.

Ales Talstyka is an applicant for the rally of entrepreneurs which is to take place on December 10 on Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk. Entrepreneurs are set to express protest against Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s decrees on necessity of re-registration of individual entrepreneurs as private unitary enterprises, and on ban for hiring people who are not close relatives.
