Keeper of Mozyr’s colony reminded of International Court of Justice

On the initiative of human rights activist Valer Shchukin Belarusian citizens have begun to send appeals to keeper of Mozyr colony № 20 Yury Zbarouski. It should be reminded that political prisoner Andrei Klimau is situated here. The prison workers take away all foodstuffs from him– macaroni, potato mash, sausages, nuts, tea. The human rights activist considers this fact to be a torture.

The appeal contains the following demands: 1. Stop to starve political prisoner Klimau. 2. Dismiss the people who are making Klimau starve. 3. Bring up a criminal case against the sadist offenders.

“Of course, it is not a prison keeper, who takes the decision concerning the political prisoner, - Valer Shchukin said in the interview to the press service of the United Civil Party. – He performs the orders from above. But it will be he, who will come before the International Court of Justice. He will become an international criminal. The UN announced the tortures to be international crimes that have no period of limitation and are under the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice. I remind that Belarus is a founding member of the UNO”.

The prison keeper was also pointed out that Andrei Klimau had problems with his heart and he didn’t get necessary medical treatment. It can be regarded as refined torture of the personality, said in the appeals. These actions in the colony № 20 are considered by the signatories of the appeal to be an attempt of killing the political prisoner.
