Miners got worried

7

Miners of the first mine of Republican Unitary Enterprise Belaruskali got worried. The administration has begun to press on those, who took part in the so called Italian strike in September.

About one third of the minors brigades took part in the “Italian” strike in September 2007 (miners went down the shaft, but didn’t work). The workers protested against adopted by the “parliament” draft law on repeal of pension payment to those, who continue working in harmful conditions, BulletinОnline reminds.

The administration doesn’t blame the former strikers openly, but tries to make their lives harder.

According to minor Alyaksandr, who works in the first mine, “the administration has begun pounce without any grounds, make notices, try to find any omission in work. They are doing it in such a way, one can no legal grounds to appeal to court. It’s always possible to find out violations of safety rules. One case, then second case, and the contract may be withdrawn,” Alyaksandr says.

Another miner having the same problems thinks that administration of the mine is going to organise hard life for all people, who can be accused of political illoyalty. According to the minor a middle manager said him “They don’t fire you out, but make you nervous.”
