Utility rate goes up from 1 January 2008

The first price hike of utility rate can be noticed yet on 1 January next year. Belarusians will receive more expensive utility bills in early February. Gas, cold water and sewer are to increase in price sizably.
It isn’t yet known exactly what bills will increase, the newspaper “KP v Belarusi” writes. This question is being considered in the government. However, prices for maintenance, electricity, lift and garbage removal services will go up. Heating and hot water are most likely not to rise in price in January.
Tentative forecasts show that a bill for an average two-room apartment (42 square meters) inhabited by 3 people will amount to about 133.000 rubles in winter.
