On the 6th day of the campaign for release of Young Front leader Artur Finkevich one of Minsk streets in Chyzhouka urban area, which had the name of Soviet military personality, was renamed after the youngest political prisoner in Belarus.

Graffiti with the new name of the street were sprayed on many buildings of the street. Leaflets with the name of the Yong front members emerged at number plates of the houses. In this way Young Front members continue their daily and termless campaign for release of one of their leaders.

“Unfortunately, in today’s Belarus many streets and squares are named after people who were out of all relation to our Motherland and national revival, and even acted against the Belarusians and independence of our country. Streets are named after numerous Soviet “heroes” whose names are still causing dread of Belarusians who remember Communist terror. But our streets and squares must be named after the names of the best sons of our Motherland, national heroes of Belarus. They should be named after those who suffered in the fight for Freedom and Independence of our Motherland, after such people as Artur Finkevich,” Young Front web page quotes one of its members.
