Credit balance exceeds USD 3 billion

Belarus has credit balance of foreign trade of USD 3 billion and 166.3 million for the period January–October 2007. The credit balance has increased by USD 522 million.
The volume of foreign trade in January–October 2007 was almost USD 42 billion, it’s by 21.4% less than for the same period in 2006. Import of goods has increased by 24.6% and comprises a little more than USD 22.5 billion, export has increased by 17.9% and amounts to almost USD 19.5 billion, AFN reports referring to the Ministry of Statistics and Analysis.
Credit balance of Belarus trade with the CIS countries comprises USD 5.844 billion, of trade with Russia – USD 6.188 billion. The surplus of trade with countries beyond the CIS amounts to USD 2.678 billion.
