Putin tackles financial matters personally

13:17, — Politics

The issue of giving the stabilization credit to Belarus by Russia could be solved during the visit of Russian president Vladimir Putin to Minsk. The deadline for this issue’s solution is December 25.

“Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin has given the answer to the question whether the credit would be allowed. He said that it is possible technically. All actions have been done by the Belarusian side, Belarusian Finance Minister Mikalay Korbut stated.

Answering the question whether the matter could be solved during the official visit of Vladimir Putin, M. Korbut said that everything would be clear on December 14. M. Korbut has also emphasized that granting the stabilization credit could be decided before December 25 this year, when bank operations stop. “On December 25 everything would be clear,” Belarusian Finance minister said. The head of the Finance Minister has also reminded that Belarus asked $1 billion this year and half a billion US dollars next year.
