Justice Ministry has missed the point

The Justice Ministry of Belarus has refused registration of the social pubic association “Belarusian Christian Democracy”, the press-center of the Charter’97 has been informed by an executive secretary of the organizing committee for foundation of the BCD Dzyanis Sadouski.
As said by Sadouski, the Justice Ministry reasons that the decision is taken as it is not clear from the statute of the association what is meant by “Christian principles” and “Christian values”.
“It is deplorable if the Justice Ministry does not understand such obvious things. We are going to appeal against the decision in the court,” Sadouski said.
