Vyachaslau Siuchyk arrested for 10 days

The court of Tsentralny district of Minsk has sentenced a public activist Vyachaslau Siuchyk to 10 days of arrest.

As we have informed, he was detained yesterday in Minsk near the crossing of Starazhouskaya and Bahdanovich Streets.

Siuchyk managed to inform on the mobile phone that he was detained at about 7.10 p.m. The activist was taken to the building of the Tsentralny district. The politician told to the Charter’97 press-center that policemen charged him with using foul language in order to justify his arrest. Siuchyk was to spend the night before the court in the remand prison in Akrestsin Street.

The oppositionist actively helps entrepreneurs to defend their rights. On January 10 a protest rally of entrepreneurs was held in Minsk. A month ago, on December 10, after an analogous rally V. Siuchyk was engaged in monitoring of trials over detained participants of the rally.
