Arrests of entrepreneurs all over the country

9

Valadar Tsurpanau, organiser of the rally of entrepreneurs in Magilou, held on Lenin Square on 10 January, was arrested.

He received a summon to appear in the militia department of the Lenin district of Magilou at 2.00pm. He was accused of organisation of the unauthorised rally, Radio Svaboda informs. Tsurpanau was guarded to the court of the Lenin district of Magilou. Tsurpanau was convoyed by a mayor, a capitan and a warrant officer.

Valadar Tsurpanau requested to provide him with an interpreter, a lawyer and opportunity to learn the materials to the case. Judge Natallya Panasenka satisfied his requests, but didn’t release him custody. She said he had been detained for 72 hours.

Valadar Tsurpanau doesn’t exclude he may be arrested.

“What do I rest on? 21 January is coming, so, preventive measures to detain those, who was active and was able to organise people are needed. So they are most likely to blame me of organisation of an unauthorised rally. They probably give no less than 10 days of arrest,” Valadar Tsurpanau said to Radio Svaboda ten minutes before his examination in the militia department.

Valadar Tsurpanau had worked at shoe-repair shop till 1 January, now he is jobless.
