Day of Belarusian Solidarity in Warsaw

2

A picket near the Belarusian Embassy was organised in Warsaw as a sign of solidarity with Belarus.

Belarusians, who had to leave their Motherland because of their political beliefs, took part in the picket, dedicated to monthly Day of Memory of the Victims of Belarusian Regime, 16 January.

The people lighted candles and carried white-red-white flags and portraits of today’s political prisoners Alyaksandr Kazulin, Artur Finkevich, Zmiter Dashkevich, and portraits of the missing politicians Viktar Ganchar, Anatol Krasouski, Yury Zakharanka and journalist Zmiter Zavadski. Passers-by, polish citizens, expressed their solidarity with the participants of the picket and wished Belarus would be democratic country soon.
