Belarusian Political Prisoner Nominated for Sakharov Prize 13

Deputies of the European Parliament are set to nominate Alyaksandr Kazulin to the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought – 2008.

It has been stated to Polish Radio by the former lawyer of Kazulin, Ihar Rynkevich. He has noted that at the moment the European Parliament is working out a campaign on that. It’s one of the elements of the international campaign of solidarity with the political prisoner. Rynkevich is convinced that Alyaksandr Kazulin is the best candidate for this prize.
