Alyaksandr Barazenka, studying in Poland by Kalinouski education programme, wasn’t allowed to leave Belarus.
As it was found out at the border checkpoint, the young man was included in the base of people, restricted to travel abroad. Border guards said his data were included into the base by the Ministry of Defence, because he allegedly must come to a military enlistment office, Vyasna human rights center informs.
Student of the Kalinouski education programme showed the border guards a document from the draft committee, saying he had draft determent, as he is a student. The border guards acknowledged that such cases happened often, but nevertheless Barazenka was refused going abroad.
Alyaksandr Barazenka came to Belarus for Christmas holidays. He got 15 days of arrest for participation in the entrepreneurs’ protest rally on 10 January. He was going to come back to Poland to continue his study.
