Viktar Harbachou: “Everyone ready to take part in rally”

Entrepreneurs of Barysau will take part in a protest rally in Minsk on December 15, one of the leaders of the entrepreneurs’ movement in Barysau Viktar Harbachou said.

Entrepreneurs hope the authorities will turn attention to their situation: about 120,000 people will lose jobs from January 1, when decree #760 takes into force, Radio Svaboda reports.

It should be reminded that prosecutor’s office issued a warning to Viktar Harbachou preventing him of violation of the Law on Mass Events. The entrepreneur was warned he might be brought to administrative responsibility for taking part in an unauthorised mass event.

The prosecutor’s office also warned Viktar Harbachou against criminal responsibility in case he would act on behalf of the independent organisation “For Free Development of Business”.

“Officials remember protest action of entrepreneurs in December 2007 and January 2008. They feel they will have problems with entrepreneurs again and have begun to press over the most active participants of the entrepreneurs’ movement. After a speech of deputy minister of economy Andrei Tup, entrepreneurs began to phone to one another. Everyone is ready to take part in the rally,” Viktar Harbachou said.
