Crisis hit industrial enterprises and Belneftekhim

Belarusian industry fells serious reduction in demand for exported products, the government admits.

“Demand and buying power of Ukrainian and Russian consumers for products of Belarusian industrial enterprises are falling. It will lead in turn to growth of finished goods stock,” Andrei Kabyakou, Belarusian vice minister, said today at a joint session of the both houses of the “national assembly”.

Exporters of machine building production and transport enterprises were most affected by the recession. “Belneftekhim and Belbiofarm companies have faced a similar situation with a number of commodity items,” A. Kabyakou said.

The government is concerned about shrinking of trade in goods produced in the country, the vice premier said.

“Trade is more civilized now – market sales are falling. Non-food products sale is dominating. National goods sale is reducing, though production is growing,” A. Kabyakou noted.

According to the vice premier, foreign trade negative balance reached $2.744 billion for 10 months and increased by $800 million in January-October y-o-y.

According to him reduction is caused by fall in prices of main exporting sectors – chemistry, oil chemistry, machine building.
