Human rights activists arrested in Mahilou for Declaration of Human Rights

1

On December 10, human rights activists of Mahilou, holding a street action dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, were detained.

They were handing round the declaration of human rights that contained imprints, by the way. Lawyers of independent trade union Alyaksandr Karalyou and Alyaksandr Padalyan were set free, no reports were drawn against them.

“The detained people were released. Alyaksandr Karalyou stayed in a militia station to write down a complaint in the book of complaints and suggestions. The materials were returned to them. Militia has no claims against them. We can conclude that people were unlawfully detained for more than 1.5 hour by militia officers,” human rights activist Alyaksei Kolchyn told to Euroradio.
