Presentation of Shrek movie forbidden in Salihorsk

Department of education of the Salihorsk district executive committee banned presentation of Shrek movie dubbed into Belarusian in schools. They explained the decision by beginning of influenza epidemic. Shrek was to be presented in Salihorsk schools on 22-27 February.

In early February members of the Salihorsk Young Front appealed to the district department of education with offers to hold a presentation of Shrek 3 animated feature film dubbed into Belarusian, combined with meeting with famous Belarusian writer and historian Uladzimir Arlou. These cultural events were to be held in Salihorsk schools on 22-27 February.

But the organisers received a ban, which is explained by “impossibility of holding the meeting and the presentation due to influenza epidemic.”
