Aliaksandar Kazulin called from the colony “Vitsba 3” and announced a dry hunger strike since he wasn’t allowed to attend the funeral of his wife.

“Aliaksandar Kazulin called from the colony and said: “Since I’m not allowed to go there, I announce a dry hunger strike that I will keep till I die. They will bury me with my wife,” opposition politician Ales Karol told Radio Svaboda.

A.Kazulin urged the EU and USA to impose economic sanctions against the major Belarusian enterprises in case the Belarusian authorities do not meet the demand to exonerate all political prisoners.

Aliaksandar Kazulin’s daughters commented on the situation when the authorities refused to release Kazulin. “We will not bury our mother unless our father is here with us. For him, such a funeral will mean burying him alive,” Volha Kazulina said.

According to V.Kazulina, her application to the republican attorney general office was “passed to the execution department to minister of interior Uladzimeir Navumau,” as she was informed by attorney general Mikalai Liavonau.
