Participants of mourning action to Iryna Kazulina detained in Vitsebsk

Initiators of the action dedicated to Iryna Kazulina are Vitsebsk activist Alena Zaleskaya and member of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) Hanna Latyshava.
The action took place in the Vitsebsk center, near the “blue” house (Lenin Str., 28), Radio Svaboda reports.
Activists were spreading leaflets among passers-by with the information about Iryna Kazulina’s death and ban for political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulin to go to the funeral of his wife.
10 minutes after the action had begun, officers of the Chyhunachny district internal affairs department detained Alena Zaleskaya, who was speaking to Vitsebsk dwellers, and oppositionist Barys Khamaida, who was spreading the independent press.
The detained people were guarded to militia to draw up reports on participation in an unauthorised action.
