Lossmaking state-run enterprises to be sold for 11 euro

Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed a decree 113 of 25 February 2008 according to which enterprises whose cost is equal to zero or below zero, will be sold for one basic unit.
A basic unit in Belarus is 35.000 Belarusian rubles (11 euro, or 16 dollars), Telegraf reminds.
Lossmaking enterprises will be sold on competitive conditions at an initial price of 20 per cent of assessed valuation for 1 January current year.
The decree covers conditions on which non-state legal persons may buy in the process of privatisation enterprises as property complexes of unprofitable state-owned organisations on competitive basis on a condition they have issued an investment project, which passed in the manner prescribed by the laws expert examination on organisation-buyer development including using of an acquired enterprise as a property complex.
Buyers of unprofitable enterprises are obliged to put an investment project and social programmes of an enterprise they buy into practice. A buyer is also committed to preserve work places on the period of debt repayment of an unprofitable state-run organisation.
A new owner of a lossmaking enterprise must also assume all debts of an unprofitable enterprise.
Organisations-buyers purchasing an enterprise as a property complex are given a delay for three years for debt repayment in a part of the debt of a purchased unprofitable enterprise. It includes delay for paying taxes and duties to the state budget, repayment of budget loans, including per cents for their using.
Besides, organisations-buyers are given a delay for six years for payment for a purchased enterprise as a property complex.
